Which type of Massage Therapy is best for me?
Of the many massotherapy systems available today, The Best Body Company offers you these styles to meet your individual needs:
Swedish: a vigorous full-body massage style that uses a variety of strokes with medium to firm pressure; promotes circulation and stimulates the central nervous and musculoskeletal systems. Not recommended for people with high blood pressure.
Aromatherapy Massage: Aromatherapy is the art and science of using the essential oils extracted from plants to bring the body and mind toward wholeness and balance. This wonderfully relaxing massage begins with a Sensory Journey where the guest decides which oils soothe primary concerns for their wellbeing at the moment.
Stone Massage: The “soothing” begins with a softly lit room, beautiful aromas wafting through the air, whispering thoughts of peace and relaxation… You lie back onto warm, flat lava stones placed along trigger points where they continuously release their heat into your melting back muscles
Thai/Shiatsu Massage: Your therapist begins at your feet, kneading and flexing in an almost meditative way. Then he or she works up each leg, sensitively and purposefully palpating up and down what feels like imaginary lines.

Clinical/Myofascial Structural Integration: Structural Integration is named after the work of Dr. Ida Rolf. Who devoted her energy to creating a holistic system of soft tissue manipulation and movement education that organized the whole body in gravity. She discovered that she could achieve remarkable changes in posture and structure by manipulating the body’s myofascial system. Structural integration has the ability to dramatically alter a person’s posture and structure. One session of specific structural work can eliminate myofascial pain. Sessions are 75 minutes and for whole body correction 7 sessions are recommended.
European Lymph (MLD): Light, rhythmic movements cleanse and detox body tissues. Reduces pain and inflammation.
Craniosacral Therapy: Gentle method of detection and correction, addressing imbalances in the skull, spine, and central nervous system.
MaMassage: While pregnancy is an exciting period of growth, it can catalyze physical discomfort and disorder as the body readjusts to its new role. Pregnancy massage is the ideal way to keep your ever-changing body balanced within the postural and emotional changes and internal physical pressures of your growing baby
Sports/Deep Tissue: a focused massage addressing specific muscles and joints; uses deep pressure to treat or prevent repetitive strain by releasing knots and stripping lactic acid build-up; may include joint mobilization, assisted stretching. Not recommended for people with high blood pressure.
Clinical bodywork: a combination of techniques targeting chronic or acute pain conditions; corrects postural imbalances, releases muscle spasms; may include deep tissue, trigger point, and active/passive stretching and range of motion. heart
